What's New in V2

V2 is a complete rewrite of Scrolling Credits. The old version required you to work directly with the HTML file to customize the credits. V2 moves that entire process into a configuration wizard inside Streamer.bot.

No HTML Editing

The setup wizard handles the design, wording, sections, images, scrolling and output for you.

Generated OBS Source

The wizard creates credits.html automatically inside Streamer.bot's data folder.

Multi-Platform Data

Credits use one normalized system across Twitch, YouTube, Kick and Ko-fi.

Live Configuration

Save changes in the wizard and the OBS browser source updates automatically.

Platform Indicators

Optionally show a colored platform marker beside credit entries.

Smart Grouping

Redeems and repeated paid-support events are grouped so long streams do not create absurdly long credits.

Setup

  1. Import the Scrolling Credits V2 Streamer.bot file.

The import creates the Credits Engine and Credits Setup actions.

  2. Run Credits - Setup using Test.

The configuration wizard opens and creates the Scrolling Credits data folder automatically.

  3. Configure your credits and click Save.

You can change sections, wording, fonts, colors, images, borders, scrolling behavior and more.

  4. Add the generated file to OBS.

Add a Browser Source, enable Local File, then select: Streamer.bot\data\ScrollingCredits\credits.html

  5. Stream normally.

Scrolling Credits starts a fresh session when OBS streaming starts and preserves the completed session when OBS streaming stops.

You do not need to edit the generated HTML. If you want to change how the credits look or what they say, open the setup wizard again, make the change, and Save.

The Configuration Wizard

The wizard controls the finished credits without requiring you to touch C#, JSON or HTML.

Design

  • Overall fonts, size, color and alignment
  • Background color and opacity
  • Text shadows
  • Primary header
  • Section headers and custom names
  • Section footers
  • Final footer
  • Optional images
  • Section borders

Behavior

  • Choose which credit sections are enabled
  • Customize the text template for each section
  • Show or hide platform indicators
  • Scroll up or down
  • Set speed and delays
  • Start and end off-screen
  • Loop the credits
  • Create up to 20 custom sections
  • Preview before saving

Images selected in the wizard are copied into Streamer.bot\data\ScrollingCredits\images\ automatically, so your configuration stays portable.

Built-In Credit Sections

Empty sections are hidden automatically. You can also disable any section completely from the wizard.

Followers Subscribers / Members Resubs / Milestones Gift Subs / Memberships Paid Support Power Ups Raiders Channel Rewards First-Time Chatters Chatters Moderators VIPs Editors Groups Hype Train Charity Donations Channel Goals Stream Stats

Grouping Behavior

Channel Reward redemptions are grouped by platform and user. Instead of listing every redeem separately, you can display a single line such as:

%sc_user% - %sc_redeemCount% redeems used

Paid Support is grouped by platform, user and support type. That means repeated support of the same type is combined, while different types remain separate. For example, one Twitch viewer who cheers Bits, gifts subscriptions and also makes a Ko-fi donation can appear as separate credit lines for each type.

Scrolling Credits Variables

Entry templates use variables wrapped in percent signs. For example:

%sc_user% — %sc_displayAmount%

Not every event provides every variable. If a variable does not exist for that event, it renders as blank.

List / Events

Collect multiple entries and render each one using your custom template.

Single Stat / Counter

Display a changing stat using %sc_label% and %sc_value%.

Static Text

Add a section that displays text you define in the wizard and does not depend on a live event.

Custom sections inherit the shared header, footer, entry and border styles configured in the wizard. Custom collector/API workflows are intended for advanced users and future integrations.

Important Notes

Streamer.bot controls what data is available. Scrolling Credits can only collect events and fields that Streamer.bot exposes for the connected platform.
Kick support: Kick's API and Streamer.bot's Kick integration are still evolving. Some Kick events or fields may not currently be exposed by Streamer.bot. If Streamer.bot never fires the event, Scrolling Credits cannot collect it.

Session Behavior

OBS streaming state is the source of truth for a Scrolling Credits session. Starting an OBS stream creates a fresh session. Stopping the OBS stream freezes and preserves the completed session. Events received while no session is active are ignored so offline follows, chat or support do not corrupt the previous or next stream.

Where the Files Live

These files are created and managed by Scrolling Credits. Normal users should configure the system through the wizard rather than editing them manually.

That's It.

Import it. Configure it. Add one browser source to OBS. Then let Scrolling Credits do the rest.
